    It’s 4 p.m. on an unseasonably warm spring day in New York City, and Trey Songz is getting antsy. After a round of morning interviews, an afternoon devoted to a fashion photo shoot for rolling out, and an impending evening filled with even more work, the Virginia-born singer appears ready to break from the madness and catch a breather.

    “Things are moving very fast,” he confesses. “I’m playing a different show every day. Photo shoots...interviews. It’s never really been slow for me since I got in [the industry], but now it’s at an elevated level. I’m more in demand … less of my time is my own.”

    As the words left his mouth, his eyes were drawn to the sunlight pouring in through the windows of our SoHo photo studio. At that very moment, you almost got the feeling that if he could momentarily press pause on his career, just to go outside and enjoy the beautiful day — he would. But that won’t happen, and the barely audible sigh that follows confirms as much. There’s still so much work to be done, and he knows it.

Keeping God number one helps with your mind and spirit so I really see how you can do this. I mean besides the pure and genuine determination that you willed is inspiring and I hope you never loose it. I also hope you take better care of yourself physically and do some yoga or meditate. It helps and relaxes the body. Keep doing what you do and don't sell yourself short because you are better than a lot of artist who have made it huge. :)

Awww you know the only thing to do is thank God for where you are today and know that he is control.God gave you the oppurtunity and you have used it beyond measures its undescribable. trey you just gotta know that life is hard work and you give in and take in so its a gradual proccess you'll get there but when ever you do decide to step out you should come to cali so freakin bad i love you trey yupp from your number one Nigerian fan fosho love ya!!!

I Truly love this article...I love everything about Trey Songz,not only he is a great performer and artist, but he is also a man. He is determined and compassionate about what he does!! I'm glad to know that he understands that without GOD none of his success would have been possible. I only know Trey songz, but through his honesty and humbleness I feel as though I know Tremaine...Keep up the good work and your Legendary Status will surely come to past!!!

i totally rate this interview!!!! i absolutely love that u mentioned God so many times. babe the only way to survive such a hard world presented in front of us all, especially in ur career is to trust in the father and be resolute that he will take care of all ur problems. Trey, you are such an inspiration to so many of your fans, including me, myself and I! In addition to these fans below me, I also wanna thank you so very, very much for all that you do. Taking time out of your personal life with family and friends to do what you do best: sing, please the crowd. That's something not all of us wanna do at times, but you just gotta do what you gotta do to, y'know? You work so hard in the studio, taking time to talk to a diverse group of different people in interviews, the photography sessions, everything...you work so hard to get on up there in the music industry. And so far, it's clear that you're READY. Ready to continue to please all those thousands of fans like myself, performing in your concerts whether you're on tour or just doing you, and the list goes on and on. Being in the tide of the music biz has its high price, but it's certain that you're up and willing to do what it takes. Your voice is so beautiful, so soothing; you're such a talented person, and it's a blessing that God has placed you on this earth to do what you were born to do: sing. I just know with all this knowledge in this brain of mine that it's hard to keep up with your celebrity life, toggling with the struggles of balancing out time for both your fans and your family, the ones that love you the most, but just know that your fans are always with you, supporting you the whole nine yards. ??? Trey, I admire you so much. You are an amazing singer, you work like crazy trying to make your fans happy, and you try so hard and so much to dedicate yourself to your fans and the people that love you. I know it is hard handling your celebrity life, all the interviews, the photo shoots, th concerts, and much much much more. Although you make it look easy at times, I just know in my mind and heart that it is nothing at alllike having a regular job at these different companies and things like that. I just want to Thank You SOOOOO Much for all you have done for your fans and for everyone else that admires you dearly like I do.!!! But I know that yo know that at the end of everyday, you please at least hundreds of people, like myself, and you know that you have accomplished one more thing in your life and busy singing life.!!! Sometimes we work so hard for what we want that we never get the chance to slow down and jus relax for the moment. Ur time will come when u be able to jus sit back and relax for a moment and get back to family and friends, but right now ur n high demand and u aim to please ur fans. I saw this n ur tv show "My Moment," u r very involved n all aspects of ur career. I saw u n concert in Long Island and now I know all the work u put n2 it and why it was a great show. I am a huge fan of Trey and his answers to these questions were so thoughtful. From this interview you can tell he is truly an all around good, genuine person. Many times you may like an artist and many people look up to them, but then they make bad choices and things that totally can change your view of them. Trey is grounded, family oriented, and has strong faith. All qualities which one can admire and look up to. :)
