Honey Mag Interview - My Thoughts:

Latest News
  • Honey Mag Interview - My Thoughts:

While out on promo I've learned that my Honeymag.com interview is being heavily talked about. Although I've never read the magazine I thought the questions prepared for me were indicative of the type of magazine Honey is. In response to my interview I want to take this opportunity to apologize to my fans if anything I said offended anyone. I was simply being honest, the interview was done in fun and not with the intention to be shocking or offensive. For the blogs and people who take things out of context (and dismissed my several references to safe sex), I do not have an STD nor do I practice unprotected sex. I look forward to using this misinterpretation as an opportunity to highlight the importance of safe sex to my fans. I've always practiced and promoted safe sex, even wrote a song about it (Store Run - 2007). I shared an isolated incident that happened when I was a teenager, 8 years ago. Lastly, I did as I do in every interview...answered the questions that were asked. Lighten up folks LOL :) BONG!

I wasn't offended and the fact that you were honest is a testament to your character & how well you were raised. You always mention condoms in your songs and even showed the wrapper in the "Brand New" video so you always make it clear that safe sex is the way to go. Besides, lets face it, we ALL know you're gettin it in so I don't see what the big deal is, you spoke on something that happened when you were a kid and you're a grown man now. Live & learn. Anyway, keep doing the dang thing, BONG! TTU loves you.

I am glad, trey, that you were as honest as you were :) It was ur decision to share everything you did and people should be greatful and appreciative for it. Not every artist reaches out like you do and is honest like you are so I am glad that you are mannin up to ur mistakes and helpin makin a difference in society cuz GOD knows we need as much change as we can get :) i am so proud of you :-) besos!

People always complain about how "fake" and "phony" celebrities are, but when one is honest and truthful in an interview and what is said is not necessarily pleasing to a few people for whatever reason, rude remarks and bad-mouthing the person come about for being honest. I mean, come on people make up your mind, do you want someone who is real or some trained monkey?? btw, wondering if and when you may be coming to Austin, Tx?? I would love to see you perform ♥Redd

I really didn't see anything wrong with the interview I just read. I'm a big fan of Trey Songz and I respect that he kept it real and he was honest. Why is it that people always see the negative and not the positive. He is human just like everybody else and I think people forget that because he is famous but he has his life to live just like we do so don't be so quick to judge.

As a real fan, I appreciate your honesty. How are we supposed to learn more about you as a person if you sugar-coat things. I'm glad you kept it real. People think just because you're famous, you have to only do whats appropriate and acceptable in the public eye. They forget that celebrities are real people and that celebrities do have real opinons, feelings, thoughts, and concerns about life. Your interview was one of the best and most intresting I've ever read. With that being said, you don't have to apologize for anything. At least not to me. It was a privilege for me to just know that you took a little bit of time to let us into your world by giving honest answers. I'm just pissed at the fact that you couldn't even put out a damn interview without haters giving negative feedback. People are so damn sensitive that it prevents them from grasping the details and information that mean the most. These incompetent fools do need to lighten the hell up. But I digress. I have gained more understanding of who you are and I appreciate everything that you do for us Trey. You are truly amazing. =) I LOVE YOU!!!

I just read the article and in my opinion it was extremely appropriate. Our generations needs to hear stories like this seeing that HIV and STD are really hurting us.Personally i felt as thought this made Trey more real to his fans knowing that he still has to deal with everyday life,i cant imagine any other celebrity that would admit to something like an STD....i LOVE TREY SONGZ,please come to cleveland

Well Trey you know that there are negative people out there that only look for things to try and tear people down, but your TRUE FANS know "What it issssss :)". I find your honesty to be 1 of the most attractive things about you..if someone asks you a question they should be READY for you to keep it 100, which you always do. Just keep them blinders on babe and let the haters do what they do best.
