"DOA" instrumental used and Trey's harmony, (he sung it well), NOT because
Trey is dissin anyone because in the song, he himself said that
it wasn't a diss...
however, he is coming at R.Kelly though and I think that in itself is
DISRESPECTFUL considering how Trey Songz sounds like Kelz and no doubt
got some of his style from Kelz...and as someone nicely pointed out in this post,
used the same auto-tune in some of his own songs...
If Trey was disappointed with R.Kelly's last album from a fan perspective
then he definitely should have found another way to say it...
instead he came at R. Kelly from an artist point of view...the gist of that song

He ain't necessarily diss 'em. He just said he doesn't like the fact that he's conformin' to the corney-ass style of music that's being played now-a-days. And I think it's true. R. Kelly was the shit back then. The kind of music he was doin' before is what made him so successful. So why start doin' the type of music these corn-ball-ass rappers doin' now? He IS really above that.

No he wasnt clowning R Kelly he just was stating his opinion. Everyone has an opinion I thought the same about R. Kelly. He is just a super star and everyone take things out of proportion. Both of them is good artist and if he was disappointed in R, Kelly albums and made a song out of it it was his business and the truth. The truth will set you free. I was upset with R. Kelly album but if i said something it wouldnt been on blasted like him. He still respects R. Kelly and he said he looks up still to R. Kelly. They dont have any beef.

I def. agree he needed to send Kells a wake up call. R. Kelly was the shit from 1993 to about 2003-4, and he stopped making good music, i'm a huge R. Kelly fan, and love his 90's stuff, 12 Play, R., TP-2.com, etc. I think he def. hasn't been producing the same music he use to which is sad, so in a way it is good Trey made this song to wake R. up
