    DATE: JULY 1, 2010

    Time: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

    City: Chicago

    Event: The Taste of Chicago

    To: Fans all over

    From: LaBella_Melody

If anyone attended you know how chaotic this event got. I was there before The Taste opened at 9 (Taste opens @: 11:30). I waited in the line to be able to enter inside the gated area of the field where the performance was to be held. My friends and I were within the first 50 ppl. at least in line waiting for enter at 4 to be seated. Chicago Radio station: WGCI crew came in handing out bumper stickers, which most assumed were V.I.P./backstage tickets.  Fans from the back of the line pushed and shoved to the front to get their share of "tickets." After that, it all went downhill.

Pregnant women were shoved, AND PUSHED throughout the crowd, my cousin almost collapsed, babies fainted, a young man stabbed, countless fights before, during, and after the show, policemen on horses plowing through the crowds. This was all on the news the night of... I can honestly say this was the worst experience of my life! I was charged at by a horse! And almost lost my life! And if I didn't push an entire crowd of people to move out of the way, I wouldn't be allowed to share my story with you today.

I didn't want to make this a long, drawn out opening, so I’ve highlighted some points. Even if you AREN'T in Chicago, or have no knowledge of it STILL...PLEASE share incidences that have happened to you while trying to see TREY SONGZ: in concerts, signing, meet and greets, etc. BUT ESPECIALLY if you attended (and feel comfortable sharing you story) PLEASE DO SO. This man needs to know what we've gone through. WE ALL NEED TO KEEP THIS DISCUSSION ON THE LEADING PG.

    We're following his story.

Now it's time for us to step out & let him LISTEN to ours.

          Peace

@PAULA LOVES TREY I’m unsure if you misunderstood my discussion. But in no way, shape OR form did I ever blame TREY for the ignorance in the ppl who attended this event. I simply made this discussion open & available to those who were there, and to those who've experience similar incidences. *Thanks for your comment :)

@chinadiamond Thank you so much for your response. I'm glad someone was able to relate to this discussion! :) It was soo crazy! But I do love Trey as an artist & as an aspiring artist myself I just couldn't miss out on seeing him LIVE! He made history in Chicago that day by pulling in over 300,000 fans from all over! YES! It was craziness but I’m glad to have witnessed it all. He did an amazing job. And as long as he continues to create great music his fan bass will only flourish!

IT'S NOT TREY'S FAULT THAT THERE ARE IGNORANT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD

Hey girl....well i was there and i got there around 1pm....and it was crazy....ppl fainting and ppl literally going into a frenzied mob riot....i mean trey songz is a huge name.....i feel as if the event coordinators didn't forsee the amount of ppl coming out to see our man Trey....and they definetely could have handled the crowd a lot better.....

Next time they could have handed out numbers at a certain time to get seats and have signs posted so not so many ppl would be waiting in anticipation for nothing.....and ur right at one point they almost cancelled the show.....

To get to my point....its sad how we come to be entertained by one of the most talented R&B singers and can't control ourselves to be adults....trey you are an inspiration to many upcoming music writers as myself and i know you would have liked to see peace at a event of this magnitude...but i wanna say thanks to Trey for coming and sharing his gift to the city of Chicago.
