“Yo shawty can I hollar at chu for a minute?” The young lady turns back around and walks over to Tremaine’s locker. She’s holding her books in her hand staring him in the face.
“How you doin?” Tremaine is scanning over her shapely body.

“Sweetheart what’s ya name?”

“I am. I just transferred here for my senior year. Today is my first day.”

“Well Trey…taking the books back…thanks for the offer, but I can carry my books myself. I will however take you up on your offer to walk me to my class. I’m not sure where this room is…” showing him her schedule.
“Oh you got Mrs. Auburn…you goin my way.” walks her down the hall and up the steps to the classroom.
“Thanks for showing me where to go. I guess you better hurry up and get to yours before the bell rings.”
“Baby I’m gud…my class is right across the hall…” nodds head in that direction smiling. Shanell smiles back.
“Well thanks again Trey.”
“You’re welcome baby.” Suddenly Paige walks by Trey and Shanell since they were standing by the classroom doorway.
Mumbles “He at it again…agitated…Move fool!”
“Aye Paige…what I tell you bout dat…watch ya mouth…you can’t be da man all da time.” Shanell didn’t know what to think and just stood there listening to the two of them.
“Kiss my bootylicious black ass Trey!” Then she apologizes to Shanell.
“Sorry you had to hear that…he plucks my nerves.” Then she rolls her eyes at him and walks in the room. Shanell then stared back at Trey.
“I’ll see you later baby.” Then he hurriedly makes his way across the hall.
Once class was over Trey was looking for Shanell but didn’t catch up to her again until he spotted her when he had lunch. He noticed her sitting with Paige. Paige was on the cheerleading squad and also the captain. Trey decided to go over and break up their little conversation they had going on.
“What happened?” Shanell and Paige both looked at Trey wondering what he was talking about, but his focus was on Shanell.
“What do you mean what happened?” she curiously asked.
“I thought I was showing you to ya classes. You don’t need me already?” Paige folded her arms and looked at Trey like he was selling bullshit.
“Oh…I’m sorry. I only meant that one class.”
“Don’t pay him any mind Shanell. What do you want Trey?”
“Not yo ass.” Shanell looks at Trey with her mouth wide open from his response. Then Trey laughs it off and walks behind Paige to hug her. “Nah I’m just playing. How you doin today baby?” Shanell still looked puzzled. Paige sees her face and explains as Trey is still hugging her from behind.
“He’s plays around like this all the time. We have this love hate thing going on. I pays him no mind.” she stressed. Then he lets her go and puts his focus back on Shanell.
“You need a hug too baby?”
“I’m good.”
“You sho? I’ve been told I give the best hugs…you should lemme show you and then you can tell me whatchu think.” Shanell smiles.
“I’ll take your word for it.”
“Yeah ight. I’ll see y’all later.”
“Trey wait!” he looks back to see what Paige wants.
“Is it true that your performing again in the school’s talent show?”
“How you find dat out?”
“Is it? Just tell me because if you are I want to be there.” Then Shanell looked at Trey.
“Perform…as in what?”
“I guess you’ll have to come to the show and find out baby.” Then he walked off. Shanell couldn’t wait to find out so she asked Paige and she told her that Trey sings. She was surprised. She thought to herself, he has good looks and can sing…I better watch him.

Nikki saw Trey talking to Paige and Shanell. She was sitting in the lunchroom with her girls and decided to go and see what was going on with Trey. She caught him as he was at the vending machine.
“So you’re not going to speak to me today? You got time to talk to everyone else.”
“You know it’s not even like dat. I haven’t seen you till now…everythang cool?”
“Everything’s great….sooo you know the new girl already?” Trey puts a handful of skittles in his mouth…chewing
“Yeah I know her.”
“So you tryna talk to her now?” Trey sighs.
“How long we gone do this Nikki?”
“Do what…I can’t wanna know who’s about to take my place.”

After we spoke again I told Trey that I would think about having security around me but for now I will get my cousin Lebron to be with me you know, to have a male figure around and another set of eyes at least until I move. The idea of having a stranger following me around and invading my privacy was starting to be a bit much. More realities were starting to set in and I was having my doubts. My mom was home from her tour she just did and I really needed to talk to her. First I shared my good news about the job that I had gotten. YES! I did it! I just landed my first official job in journalism for OK magazine. Only thing, it was in Los Angeles, CA. I had so many mixed emotions about leaving Atlanta but I just couldnt pass up this opportunity. Its been so hard to find work especially in my field since Ive graduated from college. It was so crazy seeing all these people there for my baby. Hes really good with the crowd too good. He had a nice size fan base, but now, its incredible and I know its just going to keep on climbing. I remember when I was suppose to be at one of his shows in New York for this album, but I missed it and had to meet him at the hotel. Some fans ended up following him to his hotel room. My flight didnt get in until late that night, so when I finally got to the hotel it was paparazzi camped out, all this hotel security along with Treys bodyguard Buggzi Mendoza in the lobby. I didnt see Trey at all so naturally I was confused ready to panic. I was hoping everything was alright. Buggzi spotted me and gave me our signal which is him tipping his hat, to chill for a minute. I grabbed my bags and carried them over where the couches were and just acted like I was searching for something in my purse. Once the coast was clear again he gave me the other signal to meet him at the elevator. The paparazzi was still at it and got a few shots of the two of us but my face was covered.

Pink and red roses sat in a vase on the dresser along with a radio. There was also a picnic basket that sat on the floor in front of the fire place with pink and red rose pedals scattered in front of it. The basket was decorated so beautifully. It also had pink and red rose pedals at the bottom of it along with my favorite perfume Daisy by Marc Jacob, lotion and body wash, favorite candy which is jolly ranchers that filled two wine glasses, and a white teddy bear with a red shirt on that said IM YOURS. I couldnt do anything but shake my head amazed, wondering when did Trey have the time to do this. I just had to ask.

Aw babe its beautiful. No one has ever did anything like this for me I love it. I turned to him and gave him another hug and a long kiss. Then instead of me just accepting him doing something special for me I had to continue to question it.

I was able to get my auntie to think I was staying with Paige. I drove back over to Treys house, parked my car around the corner from his house and we left together in his car. Trey opened up the door to the hotel room and I couldnt believe what I saw. The bed was the first thing to catch my eye. It had red ribbon wrapped around the pillows making them look like gifts on the bed. There also were three solid red pillows that was heart shaped placed in between the other pillows to accent the ribbon.

Trey has yet to meet my parents. My Auntie Sharon likes him though. She and my mother are identical twins. I know she cant wait to run her mouth and talk about him to my mom. I know its crazy that I work in Petersburg, VA instead of at home, but I was here when the school year ended and found a job. I just come back and stay with my Auntie for the summer since I like it. She likes the idea of having an in house babysitter. That wasnt happening today. She wanted me to watch the little tykes while she went out, but I told her I had to go over and see what Ms. Tucker wanted. I havent seen or spoke to her since weve been back. She could have some news for me about Trey. Its even been a minute since Ive spoken to him I wonder when hes coming home. Anyway my auntie understood so now Im on my way over there.

Nikki had heard that Trey was back in town and decided to come over and pay him a visit. She didnt have the closest relationship with Treys mom, but she always made it a point to keep in touch with her and the family. Trey was standing out on the porch with his boys and his mom when Nikki walked up.

I told his mom Id be right over after work. I work for a local book store part-time for the summer. Then in the fall its back to college. Im currently enrolled at Morehouse College in Atlanta. This will be my sophomore year coming up. My major is in Journalism. My parents agreed that I can come home and work for the summer as long as I found a job thats related to my field. Well not home, VA. isnt my home. Its actually where my auntie lives. I had to come and stay with her for my senior year of high school. My parents professions are very demanding where it keeps them away a lot. My dad more so than my mom at first. My dad is a pilot for Southwest Airlines and my mom is a Registered Nurse, but she just took this job for Royal Caribbean Cruise line. So now shes not working locally anymore. Usually their schedules would work out where one of them would be home, but since acquiring this new job she was called to start earlier then anticipated. Unfortunately the other nurse that was scheduled to work that upcoming cruise schedule had a death in her family so my mom was called to take her place. She wasnt scheduled to work until October after I wouldve graduated and been in my freshman year in college. So naturally they didnt want me to be home alone, which is really what I wanted, but they were completely against it. So they shipped me to spend the rest of my senior year with my auntie.
I had to get use to a lot of things around here like sharing the bathroom and having little ones around. My auntie Sharon has two kids. Raven and Ricky. Theyre 7 year old twins. They can be a bit much at times, but pretty cool for the most part. Trey loves to play with them when he comes over. I just be wanting them to leave us alone. I guess its because Im around them more than he is, but when hes around I cant get them to go.I have no privacy here anyway. Thats the only thing I miss about being home. Which is in Atlanta, GA. by the way.

Yes hes ruff on the outside but has the biggest heart on the inside. I could see why people gravitated to him. Which makes me feel honored that he wants to spend his time with me. Im really going to miss him. I just hope I can hang in there until he returns.

Trey has been gone for a whole year now. God I miss him. I am so proud of him though. Hes been working really hard. Hes called me every opportunity he had. He told me Mr. Taylor had him up at 8:00 am learning how to record, exposing him to all there is to know about his craft. He said he was eager to learn and was going to do whatever was required to hone his skills and make his dream a reality. Then on the down side he was a little, well maybe more than a little, bit irritated cause he had to wait another day to get his hair braided. Hes so use to having it done every four days its killing him to wait one extra day. Hes something else. I remember one night when he was taking out his braids so he could wash his hair because he was about to get it redone. Well I told him I could braid and to let me try one, since he was taking his hair out anyway. I just wanted to see what I could do. He let me try one row. He fell out laughing when he saw the finished product. I had to laugh too because I didnt really know what I was doing but I was proud of my braid. He was just so picky about his hair he never would let me play in it and I wanted to so bad. I guess I finally worn him down. I do get the privilege now to wash his hair for him when he doesnt get them to do it. I miss those times. So here we are a year later, his demo is finally complete and now its time for phase two .wow!
His mom called me and asked me if I could come over there today. I had been away for the past two weeks with my auntie in Disney World. It was really fun. I actually enjoyed spending quality time with her and the little tykes. Shes a single mother but she can definitely handle her business.
