Im my opinion i t  would have to be a yes an a no depending upon the age of the teenager if your are 17 and older yes ,but under 17  Hell No. Lol I Thought that this would be an intresting topic to disscuss and intrested in feedback.

Music is Music and as much as TREY is all over the radio, TV's, etc. I think its impossible for you to "Stop" someone from listening to him ... OR anybody else that is that popular in music... Its like telling your kid not to curse, 9 times out of 10 they do it when your not around so you CANT really STOP it

Im 14 and I listen t his music. My mother feels that as long as she knows what I'm listening to and that if she doesn't approve that I stop listening to it. But that has not happened with Trey Songz music

I don't have any kids but truthfully, I turned my 18 year old neice into a Trey fan. She was 14 when she heard I Gotta Make It and has been a fan since. I've taken her to his concerts and she's even had the pleasure of meeting him. Like @CutTGurl609 says music is music and great music is even better. Her listening to his music was one thing but I would never influence anyone younger. You know it's bad when your 5 year old nephew is singing Rihanna's Rude Boy, I would never play any sexual explicit music with the youngin's around.

I think music is music. Now a days a teenage girl prolly can teach us stuff. I agree with some of the other girls you can't really control what these teenagers listen to and you would just have to talk to them about sex and those kind of topics.

Shoot, I was like ten talkin bout some "t-shirt and my panties on just how u like it" lol I knew what I was singin about (i even wrote a sexual song when I was like 14) but it had no effect on me personally cause i lost my virginity at 18. Thats basically what r&b is about anyway love and relationship sex and pain. I have a 2 year old and I would encourage my daughter to love all kinds of music because I do. (But I wouldn't want her singin those lyrics around me.... thats just creepy lol)

I would hate to here a child singing Doorbell or Love Faces! Lol! I would feel so uncomfortable. Some of Trey's song are appropriate but some aren't so its up to the parent really!

MY DAUGHTERS ARE 3 AND 10MNTHS......I LET THEM LISTEN TO TREY. I DOPNT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THEM LISTENING TO HIS MUSIC. TRUST ME, ITS BETTER THAN WHAT SOME PARENTS LET THEIR KIDS LISTEN TOO. IF THEIR IS A SWEAR WORD OR SOMETHING VULGAR IN THE LYRICS WE AS PARENTS HAVE TO TALK WITH THE CHILD AND LET THEM KNOW WHAT IS APPROPRIATE FOR THEM TO SAY OR DO.

I would have to hear the lyrics first then decide....i need a girl and gotta make it arent bad...just thinkin off hand. When I was young my parent would listen it first....but even down to the videos they wouldnt let us see if it was questionable.

im 28 and have no kids but i think under 17 is a no, but then again some of younger ones are not mature enough to "get it" so they probably think say ahh is Really about alcohol :) so i dont know lol

@oneshadowlove: I enjoyed reading your comment, you make some good points.I don't listen to rap music either because i feel that some rap music can be disrespectful toward women.

I have a 13 yr old who listens to Trey music w/ me and its actually something that her father and I argue about but its more like a way for me to speak with her about some of the real world. Sex shouldn't be taboo with your children if handled appropriately. She only really likes his slow songs like Jupiter love, Love Lost, Gotta Go, Please Return my call, Blind and etc. and most of the time Trey uses terms that she don't get so she just skips those songs. I say the maturity level of your child should be taken in consideration. I appreciate that my daughter loves music and she doesn't get into the Hip Hop music which I feel is worse for young adults to listen to other than Trey. I prefer her to listen to how a man should treat his woman. Rather than her listen to rap music talking about women disrespecting their bodies, bootie shaking and etc. So with that being said you as a parent makes the choice. Now she is not and I repeat NOT allowed to attend any Trey Songz concerts.... That's for mommy's eyes ONLY hahaha!

I been down with Trey since his very first album, and I was like 15 when that came out in '05. It didn't make me be "fast" or anything lol. The 1st album wasn't as sexual as his others. Of course because he's matured since then. But to answer the question, more than likely I probably would be somewhat uncomfortable with my teenage daughter listening to it, but not too much. I wouldn't be able to stop her from listening to it anyway. All the freak songs I heard growing up didn't make me sexually active lol.

@shay: you do have a point though. You can't control what teenagers listen to.Teenagers these days are too mature. It just amaze me how young some of his fans are that are angels on this board and i'm like do the even understand what he's talking about.l know of someone that lets there 12 year old daughter listen to Trey .I'm like that's why too young to be listening to his music.

I think it would depend on the type of child you have. Now if your child is sensible than yes I would let her/him listen to Trey's music but if they aren't then no. My mother allowed me to listen to different types of music and some of it was suggestive but I was mature enough to handle what I was listening to.

NOOOOPE! i started listening to him when i was 14 tho... but my lil young fast ass.... X(

I'm 20 and I dont have any children. But if I had a teenager under 17 I would be uncomfortable with them listening to some of Trey's content. Most teenagers aren't mature enough to understand the true content and meaning of Trey's music. But realistic u cant stop your child from listening to Trey's music, their gonna be exposed to it regardless whether it be at school, on tv or internet, or thru friends, so its up to the parent to talk to them about it. But I'm old enough to listen and love Trey! Lmao!
