AIDS Walk Washington 2011! Join our team!

Hi Angels,

Trey's DMV Angels are on a mission to help fight against AIDS. On Saturday, October 29, 2011 we will be participating in the 25th Annual AIDS Walk Washington, a 5k fundraising walk to benefit Whitman-Walker Health. We are currently building our team.  Everyone is welcome to join and if you aren't able to join you are most certainly welcome to donate.  To join our team you pay the require $25 registration fee which actually goes toward your personal fundraising goal and also contributes to our team goal. We hope this experience not only humbles our hearts and brings us close together but also we hope that it continues to bring awareness to a problem that plagues our communities.

Just a few tidbits of info

Where does the event take place?
AIDS Walk Washington begins and ends at Freedom Plaza (Pennsylvania Avenue at 13th Street, NW).

How long is the course?
The course for the walk is approximately  kilometers (3.1 miles) and the timed run is a certified 5k course.

-each member is responsible for setting a personal fundraising goal
-if you do not have a credit to pay for registration you can use Paypal to forward the Captains your money to register you
-The website used for donations links directly to the organization not to anyone's personal account
-Each team member is welcome to host their own fundraising event and other team members will support them
-Our current TEAM fundraising goal is $500 but we can always increase it if we are getting the support we need
-The walk will take place rain or shine starting at 8:15am on Saturday, October 29
-You do NOT have to walk to donate
-This Angel mission is to raise awareness and fellowship with others who stand for something and but will NOT fall for anything!

Registration Fees

General Walk Registration: $25.00
General Walk Registration (Please ensure that the Walk is your preferred registration choice. You will NOT be able to change your registration to the timed run at a later date).

Student / Senior (60+) Walk Registration: $15.00
General Walk Registration (Please note that the Student / Senior Rate applies to the Walk only. This rate does not apply to the timed run. Do not select this option if you plan to participate in the timed run).

General Timed Run Registration: $35.00

Sleep Walker Registration: $40.00
Want to sleep in on October 29 or just can't be with us? Register here and you can support the effort from the comfort of your bed! Your commemorative AIDS Walk t-shirt will be mailed to you after the event.
