    Hey Team Songz!

So you all know that the holidays are coming fast and November is also Angels with Heart Month. Not all of us are able to actually go out in do things or have a lot of Team Songz/Angels in our area but would like to do a mission. I live in a small town outside of Chicago, I work 2 jobs and go to school full time so finding opportunites, time, and money to help others is hard for me, but I would really like to do something. But, what I want to do, I can't really do on my own, so I was hoping I could get a lot of you guys to help. If you don't know, every year during the holidays, the Salvation Army has an 'Angel Tree' program, where individuals or groups can adopt kids. With this adopting, you don't know who the kid is but you get their age, gender, a list of things they need and a list of things they want for Christmas. We as a group would raise money for our Angels to buy the things they need and at least one item from their wish list. Most of the needs are winter coats, clothes, shoes, and things of that nature and most of the things on the wish list are around $20-30. When I was in high school, my student council would adopt 10 kids a year and the 15 of us that were in student council would ask for sponsors/donations and donate some of our own money and make Christmas special to kids in our neighborhood. This year, I don't have a student council to help me but I do have a huge family, Trey's Angels and Trey Fam, that I think would like to help. I was thinking because this is Angels with Heart Month and it is the 11th month of the year, we could try adopting 11 kids. It's a relatively high goal, but if a lot of people participate then it is definetly possible. Now if you would like to help, there are 2 options

Option #1: If you have a group in your area that would like to adopt an angel in your area and buy the things yourself, you can do that, and still be apart of my team, so your angel would be apart of me reaching the goal of adopting 11 angels.

Option #2: If you don't know anyone in your area to help you adopt an angel in your area or if there are a group of you in your area that would like to participate but don't have can't get together to do the actually shopping or find a child in your area, you can raise money and I can give you the information to add the money to a prepaid debit card that will be used specifically for this purpose. With the money, I will adopt more kids in my area. I will be able to go and do all the shopping for the kids and deliver the stuff. JCPenney is partnering with the Salvation Army for this 'Angel Tree' program, so there are special discounts for this purpose, I also work at JCPenney, so I recieve an additional employee discount, so I will be doing all the shopping there, so I can save and be able to buy more stuff.

P.S. through the Salvation Army, a group can only adopt up to 10 'angels' the 1st or 11th angel is someone I know personally. She is a 16 year old girl, who has had a really rough year, she is dealing with depression and is now living with an aunt, who is also taking care of her sickly husband and her elderly father-in-law and she only works part-time. This girl is someone that I tutor 3 times a week for free and I am very close to the family, so I want to do something special for her, by not only buying her a Christmas gift, but letting her know that there are people out there that care. So, I decided to make her a book to read with some motivational/loving/inspirational quotes and some encouraging/loving words/letters from a few strangers, just telling her something she doesn't hear enough, that everything will be okay, that she is loved, etc. So, if you would like to be apart of this special project please let me know
