So on Thursday I went to the NYC PPP Tour and I can just say I was very disappointed. Monica was amazing but I really did expect more from Trey. This is the 3rd concert I have attended w/Trey and I really thought that this was the place where I would get to see him perform both his released hits and his fan favorites from all his albums that weren't released as singles. Like ‘In the Middle’, ‘Kinda Lovin’, ‘Role Play’ or even some songs from Anticipation.

I've been a Trey fan since Gotta Make It and I WAS PRAYING that he would do at least 1 or 2 songs from that album just to pay tribute to his REAL FANS who have been there from the beginning. Instead he completely skipped that album and sang 1 song from Trey Day and graced us with some special guest performers and amazing vocals which were both great.

However I felt if Trey did less talking, sexual gestures, rubbing baby oil and giving a massage to an audience member we would have been able to hear more MUSIC. I was utterly disappointed…and I was really trying to enjoy the concert. Do not get me wrong every song that he did sing I enjoyed but I just felt that this was HIS concert and this was where he should have showcased all his musical talents and all of the amazing music he has created; instead, more of his sex symbol image was on display. YES TREY IS SEXY but I was really looking forward to a good old R&B concert with him as the star and not as a SEX SYMBOL. I hope the OMG tour is different and Trey only blesses us with his RAWR talent.

Loved, a disappointed but forever loyal Trey fan.

He sang an Al Green song at the Friday show too.

My fellow angel, I'm sorry that u didn't have the experience that you were so hoping and praying for. Please know that I'm sure Trey didn't do it on purpose and usually there are a lot of behind the scenes items that we as the fans dont know about. I remember watching "My Moments" on BET and him saying that yes he has the say so when it comes to what he wants, but sometimes venues do put pressure on the artist to get in and get out. I would say that I would be definitely grateful that you were able to see him in concert, unlike some of our other fellow angels. Please keep your head up and know that he loves each and everyone of his ANGELS!!

WHEN TREY CAME TO ST.LOUIS HE WAS AMAZING. HE EVEN SONG AN ALGREEN SONG AND WAS TWO STEPPN. TREY SONG SOME OF HIS SONGZ OFF READY,HIS OTHER ALBUMS & PPP. THE PPP TOUR SHOW WAS 3 HOURS LONG BUT WE PARTYED WITH HIM AND SOMETIMES ARTIST NEEDS THAT AT HOME FEELING. I FEEL WHAT U ARE SAYN ABOUT UNEXPECTED SPECIAL GUEST TOOK AWAY FROM THE SHOW BUT U IN NY EVERYBODY ALWAYS THERE AT HIS SHOWS.

I understand what you are saying coogi..... but listening to a song on cd is different than listening to a person sing it live. An artist can showcase their talents and make a show enjoyable and do fan favorites/oldies. But like I said prior I think it was all about time. That show would have been four hours long if he did additional songs.

the thing is....
we can go and listen to In The Middle or Jupiter Love or Wonder Woman at home, on our own time. the real idea of a concert is for an artist to perform their talents as a vocalist... to PERFORM for the audience to make it an enjoyable show. not to showcase their fan favorites, or the oldies. you know what im sayin?

I went to the concert on Friday and I was also surprised that he didn't do any songs off of his first cd. Honestly I think he would have to be on a show were it is just him in order for him to sing a lot more songs. He shared the tour with two other people so I expected he wouldn't be able to do any additional songs. At the show I went to he sang two songs off of Trey Day.

God willing he will do some additional on future tours.

When I saw him at Roseland He did more songs off different albums and did a little something off of Anticipation
