I had a listen to the album Ready and to me it sounds like
"Black Roses" is about his ex Helen or could definitely be
inspired by a previous broken relationship...
it would be true to say that certain songs on the album Ready could
more than likely be about Helen...on the new one (PPP), not so much

The songs could be about relationships in general not a specific relationship.
They are definitely Helen inspired and maybe not just about Helen but past relationships, in general. He was interviewed he didn't come out and say they were about her but he said they were inspired by relationships...
We need to get Trey on Ustream and answering them phone lines to ask him this question.

yea, thats what i was thinking too. i know for sure hes got a few songs about her tho... not any album songs tho.
It could be about anyone. Considering he isn't always the sole writer of his songs the inspiration came come from anywhere.
