    Really what's so great about Twitter?

    I feel MySpace is so much better...more intimate and personal

    Twitter is just one big room with everybody talking at once but really not talking to anyone in particular...it's impersonal

    MySpace is also better than Facebook.  I'm told a lot of teenagers and that whole high school crowd is into Facebook; that's why I avoid it. They wild over there lol

    MySpace is for the grown and sexy...MySpace all day everyday

@Tee - what do you do w/ the "Hide" button on FB? I thought it was for hiding certain ppl's statuses. Is that how you use it?

@SShorty - Exactly about the "at capacity" mess. It tells me that about 50% of the time.

Prittbrowniiz BestSellerAngel's picture

@TEE - I agree.

@SShorty - I have never had Myspace so I can't speak on that. I do have FB and Twitter. I only opened the FB account for networking purposes which in that capacity it has served me well. Other than that I'm rarely on it. I'm a faithful tweeter on twitter. I like that fact that you can only say very few words at a time. For me because I like to write it helps me to be creative with what I can say given the amount of characters you get. I'm one for few words anyway not unless it's in writing. Then I can tell you a story lol.

I also like it too because you get a glimpse into some of the celebrities personalities. Just by reading some of the things that they tweet. What's on their mind, what they're doing, and who they communicate with. I'd rather be entertained by people who are already where I'm trying to go then with people who are in the same boat as myself. No offense to my peers but for example they can't show me how to be rich if they've never been. It's a different look. Like Tee said some of the things that people say on there is crazy! It can be really fun if you have a great group of people that you're following and being followed by. You have to watch that too because some people have had to deal with drama. I've been fortunate not to have that experience it's been all good thus far. You can always un-follow someone if there's a problem though.

Oh and when you get that over capicity message just go to your homepage anyway. It should allow you to still get on. It happens to me and I'm still able to go on my page.

Great points you made Kg.Sunshine

and I can't stand the limitation on characters they give you when you type. Also,
I'm trying to log in right now and it's telling me that the site is over capacity;
it's "experiencing site stability issues" and that's why I'm not a big fan of Twitter

Really the advantage is that you can keep up with celebrities when u do finally log on...

@Tee

you're right Twitter is the best entertainment right now but once that wears off I believe people
will return right back to MySpace or the next new thing out...

MYSPACE? U mean it still exists? I agree w/ Ariel about MS, its for the high schoolers, who are trying to come to FB w/ their mess, but there's something called "Hide" on FB, I luv that feature, hehe!

FB is starting to get on my nerves w/ all that spamming w/ the shoes! But it has allowed me to reunite w/ many ppl. Im on there mostly to talk to relatives & post my pics & look at other ppl's pics.

TWITTER I have found to be very formal! I only joined TWITTER to follow Trigga. Funny how u CANT see what u tweet someone when u go to their page. Why is that? And ppl say the craziest things on TWITTER they wudnt dare say on FB or MS, lol! The best entertainment is TWITTER!

I'm not a fan of Twitter either. To me, it's for high profile professions, b/c if you are a regular person then you have to work to get followers. Plus, it seems like ppl are talking at you & not with you. They can reach out and touch you, but not the reverse.

All of my friends & family moved over to FB, so I couldn't revive Myspace if I wanted to. My account is still active, but I never check it.

@SShorty Facebook I'd say is WAY more for the adult crowd. A majority of my family is a FB friend. Lil kids are still playing on myspace.

Ariel @COOGIdown's picture

LMAO I haven't logged into my myspace for like 3 years.
Myspace is old news, babygirl!

@OhSoLuhvlee

you ARE "oh so luhvlee" for clearing up that for me. "Preciate it.

So now I definitely know that a certain someone has seen my tweets and is just being
an ass and iggin me lol. I have a good mind to remove him...

I haven't been on Twitter very recently but I now have more than 2 followers yay me lol

Btw, someone told me that Facebook nowadays is for the older crowd and less for the
teeny-boppers, so I might take a gander eventually lol

Your not suppose to see your tweet on their page, unless they retweet you. They might see it on their home page if you reply to them with @ and their name first.

If you type in @TreySongz on the search on the side of the page, you can see everyone who replys to him or mentions him. So even if you didn't put @TreySongz at the front of your tweet, he could still see it. Just not on his home page.

SShorty's picture

@OhSoLuhvlee

are you saying that it appears on the artist front page of their Twitter?

because I've tweeted a number of celebs including the one rapper that is following me back
and I still did not see my tweet on his front page...however, because he's following me back I
could send him a direct message but I can't send direct messages to the other celebs
because they aren't following me back and I don't think they can even see my request for them
to follow me lol...so what is the good of that application? lol

At least with MySpace you can send them a request and once they log on or their staff logs
on, they'll see it...however, some of the celebs generate the Friend Request automatically now to
my shock and horror, but I know it saves time for them to do that so it's all good...

OhSoLuhvlee's picture

Trey does see SOME of those tweets. He retweets some people that he doesn't follow. And If you mention him or reply by putting @TreySongz at the beginning of your tweet he can see it. You just have to be really lucky or retweet it a bunch of times.

SShorty's picture

ANNDDDDD...Twitter is frustrating

when you send a tweet to someone it doesn't show up on their front page

for example, I tweeted Rocsi & Terrance and then I clicked over to their Twitter page
and I did not see my message...and that's why I'm inclined to think that unless the person
is following you back, then you won't see your tweets on their page...

so for all you users that are tweeting Trey Songz and he's not following you...it is really in vain because he's not seeing those tweets...I don't know where those tweets are going

@OhSoLuhvlee

Thanx for the extra details about Facebook
now I know I will definitely not like it there...I will stick with MySpace

y'all can't tell...but I'm a shy, private, and mostly conservative kinda girl lol

I love Twitter. I get to see different people's opinions on things I never would have saw on fb or myspace. And I know when something important is happening cause of the trending topics.

I've always liked myspace better than facebook. The only reason I got a facebook was because everyone else was on there, and I didn't have anyone to talk to. I got to show my personality on myspace. I had a background, and pictures of stuff I liked on my page. On facebook, everybody knows everything your doing. Where your doing it, with who, what game you just joined, who's page you commented on, EVERYTHING!

Rolanda4's picture

The only thing I like about twitter is that you can search any issue and catch up on the talk.. Outside of that it's useless in my opinion.. Myspace and FB are by far more personal..

JesusIsMySavior's picture

I will agree MySpace is more intimate and personal. Twitter can be personal only when you direct your message to a specific person.

I like Facebook better than MySpace though. Though there are features on MySpace I like better than Facebook. I find there are different age groups that frequent Facebook. I have been able to get in contact with a lot of my former classmates and other people on FB.
